We stayed here for 3 nights for a nearby wedding. Our first room was great but way too warm,we asked in the morning to switch rooms which was no problem. We stayed the second 2 nights in a tiny cottage room which was delightful. The staff ...
I recently cycled here for an overnight stay with my girlfriend. The staff were very helpful in terms of accommodating the bikes - from booking and on arrival. The room was very nice and comfortable, but can imagine it may get hot in the summer as there is no air con. The bathroom was very nice, with a great shower and the bed was large and comfortable. It has to be said, that for the price, it was very, very reasonable. we paid 140 for an overnight stay, including 70 towards our meal, and a great breakfast with decent coffee. The bar was reasonable and the food was good, with italian meals that aren't necessarily the bog standard selection. If you are looking for an overnight stay, I'd recommend.

I've known this place for so many years but never visited until yesterday when I attended my work Christmas party, wonderful home cooked food, friendly service and a warm welcome. I will visit again
I frequently stay in hotels on business across the UK. La Fontana is one of the best I have experienced, offering great value for money and very high standards. It hardly bears comparison to the big hotel chains, as it is on a much higher level at often half the price!!
A Wake for our Dad who passed away in July. An amazing spread of food and choice of home cooked recipes that added a special touch. Anna took care of everything couldn’t be more helpful. It was a lovely afternoon spent with friends and family in a lovely room . Had many comments afterward how good it was. Very reasonably priced too compared to surrounding venues.
Yesterday we sadly had to say goodbye to my mum after a very short illness in hospital. We held the wake at La Fontana and everything was perfect from the worked go. The staff were accommodating to all our requests, and were so friendly. The food was freshly homemade food and was lovely. Everyone commented on how nice the food was. The room was the right size and we were able to use the outside area towards the end of the evening when there were still a few of us left. Thank you La Fontana for making a difficult day, a nice way for family and friends to share and reflect on time with my mum.
